walnut shell candles

crack open the shell gently with a knife and then scoop out the nut and the insides.
then take a candle and cut it in to small pieces and put them inside the shells and place them in the micro wave on full power, heat them for a minute and a half at a time until its melted ( you will probably only need to do this twice.
then take them out and place the wick from the candle you chopped up into the centre and leave to cool

  1. I love these! I received one as a gift once and it was so sweet :) I use walnut shells for other projects as well but I find it difficult to break them in half without cracking/destroying them. What's your trick?

  2. Your little candles are so cute and so easy. What more could a crafter want to make? I'm a real candle nut so just must make some of these. Love, love them. Thanks so much for showing sharing this excellent idea. Affordable too.
