white painted log burning stove

i have seen a few white / cream log burning stoves in magazines recently, but for some reason they cost a fortune compared to the standard black ones, which i had, so i decided to spray mine, i bought some radiator spray paint. as its an electric fire, and the only heat source is underneath i figured that this spray paint would be safe to use as the main part of the fire does not get hot
i removed the glass and handle, and covered the fan part of the heater underneath, and covered the inside of the fire up. then i sprayed the fire, i did several thin coats, building it up rather than one thick coat so that the paint didn't run, i find this happens sometimes if you spray to close or to thick.
then waited for it to dry and put the glass back in. it looks great, the paint dried flat and you would never know it was black
