vintage advert chopping board tutorial

i saw this chopping board below (left) and really liked it, so i decided to make my own, i used my silhouette to make a stencil
then i stuck it on to the chopping board (i got for £4) and used a sponge and black paint and covered the stencil with it. then i removed it, and i got this (i may sand it down a bit a bit)
the chopping board that inspired me was £30 plus postage so i got a simular looking one for just $4
