i love the country look, so i didnt want a traditional pumpkin, so i decided to make a doily pumpkin.
to make it first take your balloon, blow it up and secure some string to the top, then mix up some wallpaper paste.
(tip you may want to cover the balloon with vaseline first)
soak the doilies in the paste and then take a paint brush and brush them on to the balloon, overlapping them so that they stick together, make sure that they are all flat and well covered in glue.
then hang it to dry. i then used some spray starch and soaked it to make sure that it would keep its stiffness, you can skip this step. as some of my doilies wear thicker than the others i painted on some regular white glue to make sure they were stuck together, once completely dry and hard make a small hole in the balloon to let it down and remove it from the hole. i then placed a twig in the top to look like a stalk.
