i had some left over dough from by bunting cookies so i used it to make some iced gems, i rolled out the dough and cut lots of little circles. i didn't have a cookie cutter small enough so i used a knife. i baked them on a sheet of parchment paper for 12mins. then i mixed up some royal icing sugar and added colouring then piped it on, and left it to go hard.
the recipe i used for the cookies was
115g of caster sugar
115g of soft butter
300g of plain flour
a few drops of vanilla essence
this made lots of bigger cookies too,
first i mixed the butter and sugar together with a wooden spoon, then i used a sift and added the flour, then used my hands to mix it in to dough, then i rolled it out and cut it and baked them at 180c for 12 minutes.
