i use air drying clay to make these roses and they are really easy to make.
first soften you clay and break it up in to balls then using your thumb, place the clay in the palm of your hand and flatten it, then for the centre roll the first piece out, then take another ball of clay and flatten it again, you could use a wooden skewer to roll it out and shape it with, you will need a glass of water and a brush,
with it dab some water on the petal and mould it around the centre piece.
then continue this process, working each petal around from the centre, making them larger as you get towards the out side of the flower. once they are dry you can paint them, its really easy trust me, give it a go.
