queen pillow PLUS tutorial to cut your own shapes on the silhouette

what with the diamond jubilee looming and yesterday marking 60 years of the queen on the thrown i thought it was only fitting to make a queen silhouette pillow
i cut it with the silhouette on to heat transfer and then ironed it on,
i used grain sack fabric, i was unable to find a queen shape on the silhouette software so i imported my own image.
i found this profile silhouette on google. you need to right click and save the picture
 here is is cut out.
if you do not know how to cut your own shapes heres the tutorial.
first you need to load up the silhouette software and go to file, then click on open
then at the drop box at the bottom (like the photo below)  click on all files
then you need to scroll through the pictures and find the one you want. and load it up
 then enlarge the image
then you need to go to the select trace area button click then select the area you want to trace by putting the trace box over the part you want
then click on the trace outer edge button
then click on the image and move it to the side to see the traced image and delete the original. then you are ready to cut.

and thats all it takes

  7. I think that we are soul mates - LOVE the QUEEN!! Really awesome post and great {simple.easy} tutorial. I do have a Silhouette, but since I didn't take computer design classes in college I haven't been able to really unleash the true greatness of my Silhouette. Pinning this to my Must Craft Soon Board.
