i finally got my new cameo machine i orderd it on the 6th of december, yeeey. iv been waiting for it nervously worrying that i wont understand how to use it ect, but luckily it was really easy to set up and use. so for my first project i created this cushion.
i dont have the stencil kit yet and i wanted to test out my machine, so i used vinyl instead. first i downloaded the image i wanted to my silhouette studio, then i resized it, and cut it. then i peeled it off the backing and put it onto some fabric.

then i used a paintbrush to paint over the stencil with cream paint.

then i peeled it off and left it to dry

then i used the fabric to make a pillow, i put lace around it and pinned it before i stitched it.
i will have to get some transfer tape in the future as it was quite difficult to remove the vinyl and stick it down without if sticking to itself and getting in a mess.

Thank you for the comment on my sign! I love this little birdie pillow! It's so sweet! :) Stefani

This is so pretty! Congrats on your new cameo. I'm sure there will be much more crafty goodness to come :-)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, love the pillow! Sometimes I wonder what vitamins you take, cause you have so much energy and do so many great projects. I need whatever it is. Your bird card is also so pretty, and you thinking of spring? but birds are great anytime! Also like your quilted ipad case, love the fabric. Thanks for sharing your creativity over at Sunday's Best!
