grain sack, and felt ruffled union jack pillow

grain sack and felt ruffled union jack pillow tutorial

first you need to cut lots of long strips of felt
next i used chalk to mark out the outline of the union jack flag on to the hessian fabric.
then using a glue gun, i started adding the felt, i put a line of glue over the chalk then ruffled the strips as i stuck them down.

then i used a sewing machine to stitch it to the back piece of fabric.
and thats it, it only took about 1 hour to complete.

  9. I love this! And it looks like something I can do with my brand new sewing machine! Now, I need to figure out how to do the Stars and Stripes...it's those stars that are so difficult! :-)

  10. These are wonderful! I love that they are in a more neutral pallet. I have a friend who's husband is from England and is always looking for ways to incorporate it into her decor with out the traditional red, white and blue. I sent her your link! Love it

  26. OK- I think I could do it!? Maybe? I have a burlap pillow that's blank, just waiting for inspiration to hit and I have cream felt. I think it's meant to be!
