Quilted ipad/table case

Wednesday, 28 December 2011

To make this i used cath kidston stone roses fabric for the outside and some white lining fabric for the inside i measured around mine for the size, insted of a pounch i wanted it to open like a book. First I put the two pieces of fabric right sides facing (pattern sides together). Then placed the batting on top. The i stitched along both ends and then turned the right way. Next i folded the side edges in and and stiched them. The i quilted it by stitching a criss cross pattern over the whole thing. Then i turned one side over and stitched it to make a pocket for the ipad/ tablet. Then fold the flap over it and hold it shut with a tie.

how to make this throw from scarves

snood scarves in to chunky knitted cushion

today i picked up a snood for £4 and instantly knew i wanted to make a cushion out of it, as the style of knitting reminded me of a £60 pound cushion in laura ashley, so i stitched up each side and it looks great, it took 2 minutes to make and i saved a fortune.

i made this to stop the cold coming through the front door, now its getting chilly. i made the cover like i would a normal cushion cover, by measuring it and stitching it inside out, then i used a stencil and white acrylic paint to print the words home sweet home.
